Local Parkinson's Disease support groups
Suggestion:  join local Parkinson's Disease support groups, if available and appropriate.  Two national PD organizations work with local PD support groups:

National Parkinson Foundation lists some PD support groups in the US and many other countries on its website
Search NPF's support group listings (change "Resource Type" to "Support Groups")

American Parkinson Disease Association lists its local Information & Referral Centers in the US on its website
Search APDA's I&RC map for the nearest I&RC.  Then click on that I&RC's website (if there is one) or the I&RC coordinator's email address to find local support groups.

MyParkinsons.org provides a list of international PD associations and support organizations
Search MyParkinsons.org listing for the phone number of a PD association outside the US.  Then contact that association to find local support groups.

Local Alzheimer's Disease support groups

Suggestion:  join local Alzheimer's Disease support groups, if available and appropriate.

Alzheimer's Association lists its local chapters in the US on its website
Search the Alzheimer's Association chapter listings by state.  Then click on that chapter's website to find local support groups.
